Message of the CEO
I am Cedric, and I am an Engineer and Co-funder of the Start-up named Cash-Me.
I studied Telecommunications Engineering in South-Africa, then afterwards , I carried-on with my studies in Computer Engineering in Germany where I started my professional career in Aerospace and ended-up being a Project engineer in France.
During my various trips abroad, I realized that there was a cruel lack of access to Banks and the traditional services offered by banks.
This dynamic and enterprising youth is largely deprived of access to bank cards allowing them to make purchases on the Internet.
The traditional banking system requires drastic conditions and verymany documents to enable this youth to have access to a bank account and then a bank card.
It is therefore from there that I imagined with partners the CASH-ME solution that allows everyone to have an online bank card using Mobile Money accounts (MTN Money and Orange Money in Cameroon).
Solution that lifts a number of limits and provides access to online purchases of all kinds for this population that is open to the world.
And I wanted this solution to be achieved with the help of young people teams based in Cameroon, teams that have been involved in this adventure from the start.
In just a few weeks, we have already satisfied thousands of customers in Cameroon and we do not intend to stop there as we will soon open our services in Côte d’Ivoire and in other countries of the sub-region and enrich CASH-ME with additional functionalities.
We thus hope to put our skills on the table and our contribution to the emergence of a more dynamic Africa that takes up the challenges ahead.
